ON THE BRINK OF DISASTER
MICROMENTARY
Faced with a variety of dislocate temporalities and spaces in the last two years with the ongoing “Nomadic Experiment” project I thought about new forms of representation as well as new space-time analytical tools to tackle the framework within which people can have a glimpse on what is happening. The images, symbols and shapes could be sometime socially poignant, other time experimental, conceptual, graphical or a simply repetition of past model but they are always in a state of flux. It’s a practice in unstable balance between risk and control. When we look at it and into it, we are at the same time be very aware of both the limit and the power of movement across it. That’s why I decided to realize a documentary about what is behind and before my actual actions and practices. From 1999 to 2015.
